A Letter About Our Lantern Festival In China.

Wishing you a joyful Lantern Festival.

More than 2000 years ago in our Western han Dynasty, Buddhism was introduced to China, 2000 years ago, during the period of Emperor Ming of the Eastern han Dynasty, Emperor Ming heard that Buddhism had the practice of monks viewing Buddha relics on the 15yh day of the first lunar month and lighting lanterns to worship Buddha, so he ordered that night be lit in palaces and temples to worship Buddha, so that the nobles and commoners would hang lanterns, from that day on, the Lantern Festival's 2,000 year history began.

Now the Lantern Festival is celebrated by the people(especially the Chinese people) in the world. Lantern Festival is also a traditional time of the celebration for the foreigners who live in China or the Chinese who live oversea.
We had a lot of celebrations which are different from areas like, eat YuanXiao ( a kind of sticky rice dumpling), Lantern Show, Dragon Dance, Walking on the Stilts, Lion Dance...
